Deray McKesson is a known activist of the Black Lives Matter Movement. It is no surprise that he is taking part of the protest after the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile this week. Deray was protesting in Baton Rouge,Louisiana last night when he was arrested by the Baton Rouge Police Department. But Why?

While marching on the Airline Highway Deray along with other protesters were warned by police to use the sidewalk instead of walking in the road. Well according to police Deray didn’t follow their orders because he was arrested for walking on the highway. Deray who was streaming live on Periscope was able to capture his own arrest on video.In the video you can hear Deray informing the police officers that they were using the shoulder part of the road because there wasn’t a sidewalk to walk on.
