While at the DNC, Killer Mike got a chance to speak to Bernie Sanders supporters who are not too happy about him endorsing Hillary Clinton. Mike tells Sanders’s supporters that the revolution is not over yet.
Mike says,
“I’m here to tell you today, when your stupid family members call you and try to give you sympathy. And say ‘Aw, poor Bernie.’ Tell ’em to shut up. Because this is the deal. A revolution doesn’t end with a presidential campaign. We have been dramatically transformed. We have higher expectations. And good enough is no longer good enough. Whether we’re black, gay or lesbian, Muslim, a woman, an indigenous person…we all have a common oppressor. We all have a common enemy. It is money in politics. It is corporations before human beings.”
Mike told the supporters how important it is that they vote. He went on to say,
“Go back home. Vote in your local elections. If you’re in Georgia, I better see you voting on Tuesday…This political revolution is not for now. It is forever…Remember, look around you. Look at the different races. Look at the different ages. Look at the different sexes. And know this. This is what the Democratic party should look like. This is what the Democratic party should vote like. This is what the Democratic party is.”
