It’s back, but not as ‘Bad Boys 3’. Sony told Entertainment Weekly that the movie will be titled ‘Bad Boys for Life. It’s not coming as soon as we think though. They’re eyeing a release as early as January 2018. This is the third release date they’ve gotten for the movie along with February 7th 2018 and June 2nd 2018. At least it’s still on track.

If you’re a real Bad Boys fan, you’ll remember in the sequel ‘Bad Boys 2’ the most quotable line of the series “We ride together, we die together. Bad Boys for life.”. The title of this one is clearly paying it’s respects to it. The biggest difference is the switch in directors. Instead on Michael Bay, it will be Joe Carnahan.

The first confirmation we got was from Will Smith back in February when he said the movie was definitely happening.

“I saw Martin [Lawrence] a few weeks ago,” said Smith. “I haven’t seen him for about two years. We just looked at each other. We hugged. In that moment, we knew we were making another Bad Boys. We’re definitely doing another one.”

With ‘Bad Boys for Life’ looming, there’s also tentative talks for ‘Bad Boys 4’ with a release date of July 3rd 2019.
