I mean…does he like going to court or something ?

Birdman is in the middle of being sued by Lil Wayne for $51 million, on top of the other unpaid royalty suits a flurry of artists have against him, and now this. Cash Money has gotten another case, this time for $3.3 million against them for two songs they ripped off.

New lawsuits have been filed against Cash Money by artists sampled by two songs: Lloyd’s “You” (ft. Lil Wayne) and Glasses Malone’s “Certified” (ft. Akon). “You,” peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2007 and samples “True” by the 1980s British rock outfit Spandeau Ballet. Producer Bangladesh from Lil Wayne’s “6 Foot 7 Foot” has previously stated that Cash Money doesn’t like to pay their artists or anyone for that matter:

“Cash Money don’t pay royalties. You have to sue these guys so that they pay up.. it’s [Wayne and Baby’s] responsibility to pay [me] because all the money from album sales goes to Cash Money. I get checks from Sony for Beyonce, checks from different labels for different artists, it just comes to you. You don’t have to call them, sue them and all that junk. This is what you’re owed.”

Birdman apparently has a huge deal coming out with Apple, so we’ll see if he’s worried about his pockets shrinking.
