While there might be a few ignorant fools that have burned Colin Kaepernick’s jersey in response to him not standing for the national anthem, there are many more people who are spending money to support him. Prior to him not standing during the preseason games, Kap’s jersey was the 20th best selling jersey on the 49ers website, which is clearly pretty far down the list. However, since people took notice of his protest, sales of his jersey have skyrocketed and now he is #3 on the list.

There are many people who stand behind Kap and his stance and the sales of his jersey prove it. Considering the 49ers website still sells jerseys of legends like Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott and plenty of others, being #3 on the list is very respectable. What makes it even better is how quickly he rose up the list when just two weeks ago nobody was checking for him or his jersey. This is physical proof of the support he is getting compared to all the hate.

Since he is now very likely to make the final roster after cuts are made later today, you can expect sales of his jersey to continue to be steady at the least. For all the controversy that’s been surrounding the team since all this started, you can bet they are happy with the sales as well.
