Brendan Dassey will not be getting out just yet even though a judge threw out his conviction. The Wisconsin Attorney General has decided to appeal the decision to overturn Dassey’s conviction on grounds that authorities violated his rights by interrogating the then 16-year-old without an adult present.

Dassey was accused of helping his uncle Steven Avery kill Teresa Halbach. The story was put on “Making a Murderer,” which made a lot of people angry and definitely served as a help to Dassey’s conviction.

Dassey will be out in November but prosecutors want federal appeals to overturn the decision.
