This is some prehistoric shit.
Ok so back between 2001 and 2003 when hip-hop was arguably in it’s prime, J Dilla submitted an album called The Middle Finger in to MCA Records. The album was being scurried over to come out, but eventually never did and the deal to drop the album fell through in 2003. The files to the album were “lost”, until now.
The CD-R with the music on it has now been discovered and 2 tracks have been salvaged. One is a Kanye mix of “The Anthem” and another is alternative vocal version of “Fuck The Police”.
Well these “lost files” are being released via Rappcats next month, October 5th, in a limited release of 1,000 hand-numbered 12-inch vinyl records. Head here for more info!
