Napoleon Harris had a decent NFL career playing for the Vikings, Raiders and Chiefs over a seven year span but the biggest defensive play he ever made had nothing to do with football and may have saved his own life. Harris, who owns multiple pizza restaurants in the Chicago area, decided to send his delivery driver home early and handled orders the rest of the night. An order was made and when Harris got to the address with the pizza, he noticed the building was vacant. That’s when things took a scary turn.

Four men approached Harris and attempted to rob him. They probably never thought someone of his size would be getting out of the car, as he wound up chasing them down. Eventually they jumped in a getaway car.

Harris called 911 and gave them very clear and specific details about the getaway car and when police found it, it actually helped them with an open murder case. Police found blood in the car they were using and after a DNA test, they confirmed blood in the car matched a man named Lester Jones, who was found dead earlier this month after an apparent robbery and murder.

Police believed three of the four men in the car were involved in the murder of Jones and are now being charged with the crime, on top of their attempted robbery of Harris.

These fools sound like they will be going away for a while and really all for nothing. How much money did they even think they would get from someone delivering pizza? Thankfully for Harris, the situation didn’t get worse.
