It recently came out that Meek Mill was the reason that Nicki Minaj and Safaree broke up. The Game mentioned that Meek FaceTimed Nicki while Safaree was cheating on her. For many, that was fairly new news. A few weeks ago, Safaree commented on Game’s photo thanking Meek for doing what he did, which was also a confirmation. In a recent interview, Safaree is now speaking out on the incident.

When speaking on why he made the “Honestly, I should thank him” comment, Safaree says,

“I’m just saying, I just meant like…[Meek Mill] definitely was a big part as to why me and Nicki broke up, you know what I’m saying? So, that’s why I said that.”

Safaree says he dropped the lawsuit he had against Nicki which said he had a huge role in majority of her albums. He says he changed his mind due to the process. Safaree says,

“I dropped everything. I’d started a process and then I was like, ‘It is what it is. If you want to deal with it like that, go ahead. I ain’t trippin’.’ I’m doing a lot and I don’t want to have to deal with depositions and courts and all of that. Ain’t nobody threatened me. Ain’t nobody make me do it. At the end of the day, I didn’t even wanna do it. I just know if it was me and the shoe was on the other foot, I’d handle it and just say, ‘Peace out. Here. Do what you gotta do. That’s it.’ But I just dropped it.”

Once upon a time Nicki responded calling Safaree ‘miserable’ and saying ,

“You can’t even celebrate your happiness anymore w/o being victimized. Miserable ppl refuse to move on w/their lives,”

Nicki is not one to really entertain beef. She just lets it rock.

As for The Game’s ‘pest control’ track, Safaree says,

“That was one of the craziest diss records of all time. And it’s not even on no bias shit.”
