YG’s 2014 album My Krazy Life which houses the song “Meet The Flockers” is now in 2016 receiving flack because of a particular lyric he aimed at Asian-Americans.

The bar goes like this:

“First, you find a house and scope it out. Find a Chinese neighborhood, cause they don’t believe in bank accounts”

Chinese protesters have now been protesting the song at some of YG’s shows and started an online petition to have the song banned by the White House, via We The People. The petition already has garnered 100,000 signatures to have YG investigated and the song banned. It reads like this:

“The song “Meet the Flockers” by YG encourages violence and crimes to a specific ethnic group. As one of this group in North America, I feel seriously offended and threatened. Please ban the song from public media and investigate legal responsibilities of the writer”

The White House is going to have to take a look at this because of how much attention it’s receiving, but it’s up in the air if any action will be taken.
