This is nuts…and I really hope this isn’t just the beginning of what’s to come today. But the people of California, who house the biggest chunk of electoral votes with 55 and who supported the hell out of Hillary Clinton, want to secede, or not be part of the United States any more with Trump taking over the presidency.
It’s doubtful that it would happen, but the people are not happy. #Calexit started to trend on Twitter shortly after Donald Trump’s victory speech with many showing interest in being considered their own country of California because they are the richest state in the US with 40 million people. (hmm I wonder if those are all legal people ?)

If Texas can’t secede what makes you think California can
texas can its legal read up on kt
It’s because it”s California. Just because someone else can’t do do it doesn’t mean California can’t. Your way of logic is messed up.
Hell yeah! If California does it, I’m moving back there!! That IS freedom. Trump is Not.
I live in California and I am for Calexit!!!
I’m behind this idea!!!
I live in California and this is the first I’ve ever heard about Calexit. So many of us don’t like Trump….well, he is now our President. And he’s not the first to be strongly disliked; and most likely will not be the last. But this is what our Country is all about. Everyone get’s a shot at it. I’m not thrilled, but I’m not going to jump ship before I’m sure it’s sinking. I am an American and I still love my Country. P.S. I hate drama!
I’m with American Girl! I think the portion of California portrayed on media isn’t representative of the entire California. There’s no point in causing more trouble to really solidify division amongst the United States. We should be supportive and respectful of everyone’s opinions. Since Trump is elected, if there is any worries or concerns, then be progressive about it. This overreactive drama and automatically drawing to conclusions, especially with violence, is ridiculous! We should also take note of WHO is not the streets doing the protests and starting fires. We’ve been cycling through 8 years republican, 8 years dem, now its back to republican. Both sides take turns being upset, but at the end of the day, its about figuring out how to work together. Also, just as the recklessness of Trump supporters poorly representing upon Trump, all of the immature reactions against him poorly reflects upon Hilary, whether it is your intention or not. We should learn from Hilary’s concession speech and accept this with class. With a democracy, we get many privileges and with it, requires us to conform by the legistlature we have set.
Neveda.voted blue too
Why does California get to be the only ones that do this
