Running back Isaiah Pead, who was with the Miami Dolphins earlier this season, was in a car accident early Saturday morning that has left him in critical condition. Pead, who is from Ohio and was a star player at the University of Cincinnati before being drafted by the Rams in the second round of the 2012 draft, was driving in Columbus, Ohio when he lost control of his car.

According to NBC4 in Columbus, Pead was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the car when it went through a guardrail on the interstate. His passenger, Wesley Richardson is currently in stable condition while Pead was undergoing surgery this morning.

Pead played in three games with the Dolphins this season and played in 27 games with the Rams from 2012-2015. Many former teammates and other players in general took to twitter to share their hope and prayers for Pead. We send our prayers and well wishes out to him and his family as well.
