Former Sacramento King and home-town philanthropist, Caron Butler is having his life played out on the big screen and what better way than with veteran actor and producer, Mark Wahlberg who is also a bad boy turned good?

Marky Mark is allowing Butler creative input since it is his life that’s being put out there for all to see. The biopic is said to be likened to

“Marlo Stanfield from ‘The Wire’ goes to the NBA.”

It chronicles James Caron Butler’s life on the streets of Racine, Wisconsin as a 12 year old drug dealer all the way to his big break in 2002 with the Miami Heat. The major turning point? God. And a police detective named Geller. One chance. Caron took it and flew.

Definitely looking forward to this one.
