From “Lost Ones” to “She’s Mine”, iTunes may have just revealed that J. Cole is finally a father.
On Wednesday, iTunes uploaded their review of Cole’s probably new classic cut 4 Your Eyez Only and with that came emerging details that he’s a father to a baby girl. The news is unexpected but you can’t really be surprised especially when last year we all found out he’s been secretly married for a year to his longtime girlfriend Melissa Heholt.
The review says Jermaine talks about “the responsibility of Fatherhood” on the album, especially on the cut “She’s Mine”. The review states:
“The two-part suite “She’s Mine” may be the most important song he’s written, as Cole hovers over his daughter & finds himself overcome by a strange feeling: hope.”
I’m gunna say this wasn’t an iTunes “slip-up” and that this was J. Cole’s plan all along…I mean if he can keep his marriage and fatherhood both from public knowledge for this long, especially with his rabid fans, than I’m sure he let this one come out like this.
