Steve Kerr has always been known as a class act and last night was a perfect example of why. Prior to the Warriors home game against the Knicks, players from both teams gathered at mid court and Kerr took the microphone and delivered a loving, passionate speech about Craig Sager. Rather than ask the crowd for a moment of silence, Kerr chose to go a different route based on the way Sager lived his life.

Kerr wasn’t the only coach showing his love and admiration for Sager yesterday. Longtime fake nemesis and real friend, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, also shared his thoughts about Sager and how special he was.

Sager was one of a kind and all of these people knew him for so much more than just being a basketball reporter. I can only hope that when it’s my time to go that people speak so lovingly and genuine about me the way they did about Sager.
