A State Trooper is now actually being praised for watching a stolen car sink in a pond killing everyone on the inside. State Police Capt. David Candelaria called the officers actions “heroic.”

The officer who is currently unidentified yelled out,

“Come on guys! Get out! It’s only a stolen car! Get out of the car, come on! Come on! This is going to be OK,”

David Candelaria defended the officer saying,

“I mean, under the circumstances he doesn’t have the proper suit. He can’t jump into that water and try to rescue them. He did the best he could.”

The pond which was 10-feet-deep, took Joan Sanjuan, 29, Adolph Ford, 46, and Donald Farr, 51. The 2010 Honda showed up on the police reader as a stolen vehicle. The men realized the police car was following them and decided to speed up.
