Last night was President Obama’s final speech to the nation. There was none other than the hometown’s BJ The Chicago Kid to sing the National Anthem.

Before taking the stage, BJ took to Facebook to let the fans know:

“I couldn’t tell y’all before, but I can tell y’all now…we’re out here at the farewell address of the President of the United States, Mr. Barack Obama. This is his last day in office and it’s an honor to sing his last song.” BJ wrote on Facebook.
