Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman has now been extradited to the United States. He is being sent to the U.S. the day before Trump’s inauguration. El Chapo is the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. He has made two jailbreaks—including one from a maximum-security prison in 2015, achieved through a tunnel dug to his cell—but he was recaptured in Jan. 2016.
According to sources, El Chapo will be going to New York. A plane departed to NYC after 5:30 p.m.
