New York Knicks president Phil Jackson is reportedly working hard on putting together a deal to trade Carmelo Anthony.  In a recent meeting between the two of them, Anthony reiterated that he wants to stay with the Knicks and win in New York, but the very short meeting appears to have been just a formality as reports continue to come in about Jackson trying to trade him.

The Cleveland Cavaliers reportedly rejected the Knicks offer of Carmelo Anthony for Kevin Love.  Jackson also reportedly contacted the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Clippers trying to work out a deal.   According to ESPN, this was Anthony’s response to the trade rumors and possibly waiving his no-trade clause:

“I mean, if they want to go in a different direction, that’s something that I have to consider.  I would have to consider that.  Like I said, all the talk that’s going on right now, that’s out of my control.  Nobody called me.  Nobody got in contact with any of my representation or anything like that, so it’s something that I don’t worry about.  I’m not thinking about that right now.”
