Joshua Greer Jr may have scored the knockout of the year so far on Friday night on Showtime when he put James Gordon Smith to sleep and even had a pillow ready for him.

The junior featherweight is slowly moving up the rankings at 118 pounds and on Friday, he added another name to his hit list.

On Friday’s ShoBox: The Next Generation, Greer dropped his opponent in the sixth round with this vicious right hand directly on the chin that Gordon Smith never saw coming.

It was clear immediately that he wasn’t going to get up and the fight was over.

Greer Jr. then grabbed a pillow and held it up to the crowd, reading “Night, night” across it. Greer Jr. (12-1-1, 5 KOs) has won his last nine fights in a row, scoring three knockouts in his past four fights. His next opponent might want to make sure he is ready.

When they fall face first, they don't get up ? Greer opens up #ShoBox with a lights out KO of Gordon-Smith.
