Last night, Kim Kardashian’s robbery episode aired on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The reality superstar discussed the fateful night with tears in her eyes, recalling how she thought she was going to die and/or be raped, and how she pleaded for her life because of her children at home.

Like anything the Kardashian krew does, Kim’s decision to discuss the incident on the show was met with some backlash – as some felt that she was exploiting the moment for ratings. Others still feel like the moment never actually happened, so to them, discussing it on the show was her ultimate plan anyway.

Kim says it’s neither. (And I agree with her.)

“Tonight’s episode is going to be very tough for me,” Kim wrote on Twitter before the episode aired last night. “However, I thought it was important to share this story through my eyes & not in an interview where my own words could be twisted. I have always shared so much & I’m not going to hold back when this was probably one of the most life changing experiences for me. I would never wish this experience upon anyone, but have learned some valuable lessons &feel so blessed to be safe home w my babies & husband.”

If you have a platform like that, why not share your story? These women have made an empire out of sharing their lives, so I don’t see why that should stop now. Kudos to Kim for opening up about it!
