Erykah Badu has been tapped as the new face of Givenchy’s spring 2014 campaign…and it’s the first campaign of its kind to exclusively use women of color. “There was a lot of talk this season in fashion [about designers not promoting diversity],” Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci said. “I was one of the persons who ended up not being touched by this.” And he REALLY loves Badu. I mean, who doesn’t? Erykah, she’s an icon—come on!” he said. “What I want to do with my advertising campaign is spread the love.” “She’s one of the most stylish women I’ve met in my life,” he added. “She’s got such a good sense of proportion, of colors.” Love it!
