From a distance, the King of Pop could sense so much of his own obsessive genius within the prodigy. Bryant was the 18-year-old wonder for the Los Angeles Lakers, and no one knew what to make of a restlessness borne of a desperate desire for greatness. “He noticed I was getting a lot of [expletive] for being different,” Bryant said.

LeBron James says his declining popularity is a “race factor.”

Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl As if on cue, LeBron James and his dunce of a marketing agent have proclaimed that his plummeting Q Scores have something to do with race. “It’s always, you know, a race factor,” the noted sociologist/sneaker salesman himself told CNN interviewer Soledad O’Brien. “It definitely played a role in some of the stuff coming out of the media, things that were written for sure,” said Maverick Carter, the rising star who conceived of “The Decision.”


Roy Halladay earns 20th win for Phillies

He knows the bubbly will taste even sweeter when he gets to the postseason for the first time. Halladay became Philadelphia’s first 20-game winner in 28 years, Jayson Werth  hit a three-run homer and the Phillies increased their lead in the NL East to five games with their ninth straight win, 5-3 over the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night.
