Sports: Mo’Ne Davis Asks Bloomsburg University to Reinstate Baseball Player Who Called Her a Slut

Mo’Ne Davis is a rising star and an inspiration to young girls everywhere.  The Little Leaguer made headlines as many watched her throw fastballs throughout the playoffs.  She then dazzled us again during the 2015 NBA All-Star Celebrity game where she put a nice spin move on Kevin Hart.  She appeared in major magazines including Vogue and the cover of Sports Illustrated.  With her growing celebrity Davis also collaborated with M4D3 (Make A Difference Everyday) to start a sneaker line to help eradicate child poverty which mostly affects young girls.  On top of all that, Davis also scored her own Disney movie, a biographical film titled “Throw Like Mo.”  Apparently not everyone was happy about her big moves as a college baseball player called her a “slut”.  He was immediately thrown off the team.  And although he didn’t show kindness toward Davis, she showed she was the better person.


NFL: Chris Borland Giving Back Over $400K of His Signing Bonus After Announcing Retirement

Chris Borland definitely shook up the NFL last week when he announced his retirement after playing just one season with the San Francisco 49ers.  Borland said it was due to fear of future brain injuries and he consulted with family members, concussion researchers, friends and current and former teammates, as well as studying what is known about the relationship between football and neurodegenerative disease.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have managed to weather the storm of a shaky start and are back in championship contention holding the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.  LeBron James and Kyrie Irving are getting along extremely well and so are newcomers J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert.  From the outside looking in, it appears that Kevin Love is the odd man out.


NBA Report: Cavaliers Offered to Add Steve Nash If He Agreed to Buyout From the Lakers

Steve Nash desperately wanted to continue playing basketball but his body repeatedly failed him with each comeback attempt.  He finally threw in the towel and announced his retirement on Saturday.  After many years with the Phoenix Suns he went to the Los Angeles Lakers to try and win a title with Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard but that resulted in an utter failure.  Now it turns out Nash had one more opportunity to possibly secure a championship ring.
