Common Connect is ran by two young men from Harlem, NY by the names of Shakiel Francis and Vincent Pabon. Today, I am presenting their “Rose Gang New York” snapback. Common Connect has been up and running for about a year now and they’ve had some good success so far. The Rose Gang snap features, New York in white in the front with a Rose in place of the O in York with a common connect in cursive on the back. The meaning behind the Rose Gang New York snap is a quote from Tupac Shakur and also behind the entire rose logo. Tupac once said “from the concrete who knew that a flower would grow”. Common Connect feels they are the flower that grew from the concrete. The red rose resembles love and that’s what they say they’re receiving from everyone. Fashion: Presenting Youth Prevails “Old Wavy” Tee
Youth Prevails is a brand ran by a young man by the name of Elz. He grew up most of his life in New Jersey & Mississippi. Today, I will be presenting his “Old Wavy” tee that I came across while on instagram. The line began back in April 2013, with the first design the “Old Wavy” tee. The tee is very similar too “Old Navy” just that their is an “Wavy” in place of the navy. The inspiration came from Elz being very creative one day. He say’s one day he was bored and came across a dope vintage Old Navy hoodie online. Back home he said Old Navy was an affordable brand and his mother would buy him a few pieces for school. That’s where he formed the idea and the concept of the “Old Wavy” tee. I felt this concept was eye-catching. Kicks: Check Out The Newest Colorway Of The Asics GT – II!
Check out the latest colorway of the of the Asics, the olive, red and black. I must say these are very vibrant as you can tell from the pics and I’m sure they will be just as comfortable as any other Asics. The shoe features a blend of suede and mesh accented by leather with a colorway of olive, red and black. With red laces that also help the shoe bring a much more vibrant look to them. Wow. These kicks are definitely a must purchase, there is no way any sneaker head is allowing these to slip through the cracks. Hatwear: Presenting “Èlan” Hatwear
Èlan is a clothing brand ran by 15 year old Kianna Lindsay from NYC. Today, I will be presenting her hat-wear which I thought was very eye-catching. The line started at the beginning of April this year. The leather hat features a black genuine leather strap-back and on the front is “ELAN” in white threading and on the back of the cap there is a 79 inspired by her mothers birth year. Èlan will be restocking on the leather hats in the beginning of fall/winter 2013. She will be releasing some new bucket hats for the summer we will keep you posted on the release date for those. As a brand, Èlan a French word stands for a distinctive style. She picked the name because she believes that no one can ever match your style, they can wear the same clothes but they can’t match in the same flare. The Air Jordan 3 officially released today, and I’m sure you don’t want too miss out on this release. The shoes feature a all white leather, black elephant print on the toe and heel areas, red on the lining, midsoles and lacing hole. Also to finish up the look their is small grey hints provided that work the lacing tabs and the outsole.
