Kicks: Release Reminder! Ewing Focus Drops Tomorrow. You Coppin?
After a postponed initial release date, the Ewing Focus retros finally hit shelves tomorrow, July 7th. The Knicks and Bulls colorway are OG from when the sneaker first came out in the 90’s. It also still has that 90’s feel, sporting a higher, bulky silhouette and Ewing’s signature ankle strap that reads “FOCUS”. I actually really like these kicks, too bad my feet are too small for them. Kicks: EVENT REMINDER! Sneaker Con NYC Goes Down Next Sat. July 13th…
Sneaker Con is making their last stop on the Summer 2013 tour and of corse it has to be in NYC. It all goes down next weekend at Basketball City from 12-7pm. They have about 150 vendors featuring shoes, clothing and accessories. Adidas is bringing along special guest, Dikembe Mutombo, who will introduce the upcoming retro of his signature sneaker. With so many new sneaker events lately, Sneaker con knows how to stick to the basics and produce a good event. To avoid those lines, you can buy advance tickets here. Kicks: Tahiry Shows Off Her Growing Sneaker Collection
Love and Hip Hop star, the beautiful Tahiry Jose, (aka Joe Budden’s ex) seems to be turning into quite the sneakerhead. She recently posted flicks of her sneaker collection to Instagram showing off the stacks of boxes that contain her precious goods. In an interview a couple months ago, Tahiry stated that although she loves to wear heels, sneakers are just more comfortable and comfort seems to wins in her book over looking cute. Being a female myself, I can relate to her on that. I love heels, but I’d much rather strut around in a pair of kicks and have my feet feeling nice at the end of the night instead of being in throbbing pain cus my red bottoms hurt too much…and THEY DO! Kicks of the day, my favorite Converse x Comme Des Garcons Play get the nod. Aren’t the CDG play converse a great sneaker for summer days and when you want to just chill out and hang? They go with about anything depending on what color you have an option of the black pair and then you have cream. Any outfit is easy to style with either, these kicks are very vibrant and swank. If you haven’t purchased a pair yet, I don’t know exactly what your waiting on. I prefer these over the plain converse star. That’s my honest opinion as a writer. Kicks: Nike Lunar Flyknit Chukka Introduces 3 New Colorways
Nike has been very consistent throughout the year pertaining to the different colorways we have seen on the Nike Lunar Flyknit Chukka. Nike is now expanding their colorway lineup introducing three more. The is now a red, black and light green pair accented with hits of black at the laces, swoosh and heel top. the green colorway is featured with blue Flyknit on the lateral side and pink on the medial side. The shoe provides very resilient cushioning, one of the top sellers for Nike. The Flyknit is said to be comfortable and affordable pricing at $70 a purchase.
