2014 Oscar Nominees Announced … Congrats To Pharrell On His Nomination!

“Thor” star Chris Hemsworth and Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs announced the nominees for the 86th Annual Academy Awards this morning. Congrats to our good friend Pharrell, who received a nod for his song “Happy,” as it was used on the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack! Though quite different on a personal level, Snoop Dogg (I refuse to call him Snoop Lion!) and Ice Cube have had very parallel careers. Both hail from the West Coast, both got their start in rap in the early 90s and both have made quite a flawless transition into acting, while still being able to rap when they want to as well. With so many similarities, there’s bound to be a little friendly competition at some point, and for Snoop—it’s in the acting department! Talking to paparazzi yesterday out of the Lakers game, the Dogg claimed the throne for best rapper-turned-actor, and below, you can hear him plead his case. Do you agree?
