Last week The Underachievers returned with their new single “Gotham Nights.” Today they follow it up with their new track “Cobra Clutch” which is named after the legendary wrestling move. The track kicks off with Sgt Slaughter explaining how to use the move and finds the duo rapping about how they have the rap game on lock over production by Tedd Boyd. The track along with “Gotham Nights” will land on their upcoming project “Renaissance” dropping later this month.

After numerous mixtapes, songwriting credits and delays CyHi, The Prynce has announced that he will finally be releasing his debut album. The album titled “No Dope On Sunday” is set to arrive sometime this Spring or Summer via his new label, Brooklyn Knights/Sony RAL and will be executive produced by Kanye West. Along with the announcement, CyHi drops the first single “Legend.”

DeJ Loaf and Cash Money’s Jacquees have collaborated a few times on tracks such as “Want Your Sex”, “007” and “Set It Off”. Now the two have just announced that they will be releasing a collaborative mixtape titled “Fuck A Friend Zone” this Friday, February 10th. To accompany the announcement DeJ Loaf and Jacquees also release the first single “Deeper”. The single is a slow jam which finds the two singing about falling in love. I guess it’s safe to say the two are dating

#MusicStillMatters Album Stream: Lupe Fiasco – DROGAS Light

Early last year Lupe Fiasco said that he would be retiring from the rap game in 2017, but before he retires he will be releasing 3 albums. Today he surprises fans and releases the first of the three albums, “DROGAS Light” a day ahead of its release. The 14 track project is the follow up to 2015’s “Tetsuo & Youth” and features guest appearances from Rick Ross, Ty Dolla $ign, Big K.R.I.T., Gizzle and more. Lupe took to twitter to explain the title of the album and explained that the “Light” in “DROGAS Light” means the project is “light” in all aspects musically, content-wise, and conceptually with Lupe even freestyling some of his verses. Two-9 has been on the grind for years now. After taking some time out to build on their solo careers, the Atlanta collective which includes rappers Key!, Curtis Williams, Jace, LightSkinMac11, Cartier Dave, and Su$hi Ceej made their return last month with their single “Rackades” and announced that there debut album “FRVR” would be dropping February 9th. As promised, today the gang releases their long awaited project. The album is 12 tracks long and features Travis Porter (where have they been) and frequent collaborator ManMan Savage. The production is handled by Caine, Franchise, TRAPMONEYBENNY, Richie Souf, Childish Major, and member Su$Hi Ceej. This has been a long time coming.
