Brett Favre has filed his retirement paperwork with the NFL, FoxSports.com reported Monday.

Favre has said that the 2010 season was his last but the quarterback has retired twice before only to come back. He could return again even though he filed his retirement papers, but FoxSports.com reported that there is no indication that Favre plans to come back this time.

MLB: Cubs to honor Ron Santo with Wrigley Field statue

The Chicago Cubs will honor Ron Santo with a statue outside Wrigley Field and the team will wear a special patch next season to pay tribute to the former broadcaster and third baseman.

The Cubs said Saturday that Aug. 10 will be “Ron Santo Day” and they will unveil the monument before their game against the Washington Nationals.
