NBA: Spurs Want Manu Ginobli to Step Up Like Dwyane Wade

Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade was in a serious slump before he exploded with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the Heat’s 109-93 game 4 win over the San Antonio Spurs.  Like Wade, Spurs guard Manu Ginolbi has been in a slump and leaving the Spurs Big 3 as a Big 2.  The Spurs are hoping Ginobli breaks out of the slump like Wade to help them win an important game 5.  Read more after the jump.

If you thought the Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins were exhausted and in pain after playing well into a third overtime in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals, have a look at Dr. Patricia Higgins. Toward the end of regulation on Wednesday night, Johnny Boychuck ripped the puck from center ice into the Bruins’ zone and it was deflected into the stands. From there, it found Higgins’ face. NBA: George Karl Says the Nuggets Firing Him Was “Very Stupid”

Everyone was surprised when the Denver Nuggets fired the Coach of the Year, George Karl.  While many thought it was because the Nuggets fell short yet again in the playoffs, there were reports that Karl demanded a contract extension.  According to Karl that report is untrue.  Read more after the jump.
