Tech Talk News: Microsoft Moving Forward With All Touch Everything in The Future

Windows 8 Chief thinks moving forward all PCs will be touchscreen. I’m wondering if this is a decision made by Microsoft or a decision made by the people. Are people ready for touchscreen PC’s. I know I’m not (even though I’m a mac user). In a interview with Technology review the Windows 8 Chief did say “For cost considerations there might always be some computers without touch, but I believe that the vast majority will,” she said. These devices and computers Microsoft has put together with other companies haven’t sold well, so i don’t think they should move forward with all touch everything until the products are well received by the public

Tech Talk News: Apple Exes Not Happy With Google Map Praise

Blog site Daring Fireball has some inside scoop that Apple is not happy about the praise Google got this over their maps making there way back to Apple products.  It is an embarrassing mess when you dump a company for its maps and then when you release your own its a disaster . The executives over at Apple should be more than happy that Google came and saved the day. Nokia’s maps was a good replacement for Apple’s map app but Google has mastered the mobile map. Sometimes you win some (Apple has been winning for a while) and some times you lose in terrible defeats like Apple just did with their maps.  Yungjohnnybravo x TatWZA

Tech Talk Video: Watch Google’s New iOS Map App

Tech Talk News: Google Maps Heading Back To Apple Tonight!!!!

We reported earlier  today that Apple planned on partnering with Tom Tom to improve their mapping situation. AllthingsD has learned that Apple has waved the white flag and is allowing Google to house their maps on iOS devices again. How will the app work is the big question. Prior to dropping Google maps from iOS devices Apple and Google went back and forth on the option of having Google assist in Apple’s own maps but Google decline which might have fueled Apple to drop  Google in the first place. Well that doesn’t matter now since Google is back on.   Yungjohnnybravo x TatWZA

Tech Talk News: Apple Looking To Partner With Tom Tom

How bad is Apple’s map app, bad enough that rumors are flying that Apple is looking to purchase Tom Tom. The team over at Apple isn’t getting the job done with maps. According to Bloomberg there is a 30% chance  Apple could take over the company entirely. Apple wants to partner with Tom Tom  because with all the technology and experience  they are able to update maps and make changes at any point.  It’s been 2 months and Apple is still looking to change their maps.  There has been mounting pressure from the people for Apple to fix the maps, and this might be the remedy for them.
