Will THIS Actually Help Yahoo?!?!

Yahoo makes most of its revenue through traditional display ads but lately their annual numbers have been slipping. People are gearing more towards adds on Facebook and Twitter which are more sophisticated and better targeted ads on desktop and mobile devices. Yahoo as of Wednesday announced that it has acquired a “sophisticated technology that helps marketers reach their desired audience at the right time and place” called Admovate. I guess this just means more ads for us.

Need To Stay Cool In The Heat….Check What This App Can Do!!

Uber, a startup based out of San Francisco, made its name letting people hail private drivers using a smartphone app. On Friday, a one day only promotion in Miami, Houston and Portland, OR, – only three of the 35 cities Uber serves – is letting users of the app summon an ice cream truck on demand, as long as they plan to order more than one cone. Six ice cream cones cost anywhere from $20 to $35, depending on the city, so it’s probably best that this promo is a one day only. Uber’s promo is especially clutch considering the heatwave currently slamming the East Coast, engulfing New York in 100° heat for this entire week. Uber did what in their last promotion? Click through to see how big they went to get their name out there.
