Flip Cam to get some Freedom!!!

Freedom. Justice. Microphones. We’re pretty sure you can find all of those in the constitution, or inside the pure essence of eagle tears, or in bruce springsteen’s “born to run” played backwards. Scosche understands, and that’s why they’re unveiling the freedommic add-on for flip video cameras. It’s one of those new FlipPort-compatible accessories that we’re sure we’ll be seeing plenty of now that cisco’s new wave of camerasare out for public consumption. The mic itself offers a pretty neat solution to the perennial problem of sucky flip audio: you plug the receiver base into the bottom of the flip and hand the wireless lapel(like a lav) mic to your subject. Conveniently, you can start and stop recording with the microphone itself, and a 4 hour rechargeable battery should get you through the most trying of interviews or impassioned youtube monologues. The mic will be out in “late december” for $100. you get really start to feel professional at a low end….pretty Clean!!!! @TatWza for TatsTechTalk.com

Owner of Segway Company Dies from Segway “took an L” Tat Wza

Jimi Heselden, the man who purchased the Segway company from inventor Dean Kamen, died in a Segway accident yesterday. The 62-year-old Heselden was apparently riding a rugged Segway x2 Adventure model (above photo) around his property when the accident occurred, according to The Independent. Police believe that Heselden’s Segway drove off a cliff into the River Wharfe, which is located in Yorkshire, England. A spokesman for the West Yorkshire police department said, “Police have named James William Heselden as the 62-year-old local man who was pronounced dead yesterday after being pulled from the River Wharfe near to Leys Lane at Boston Spa.” For more on this go to TatsTechTalk.com @TatWza

New & Improved Bike lock?? They’ll see this thing a mile away!!!!

It’s been a little over a month since we last saw the Social Bicycles (or SoBi) bike lock concept, a simple thing that could revolutionize bicycle loaning worldwide. Now, here’s the first working prototype, a GPS-enabled device that affixes to the rear wheel of a bike set to be offered up to others. Those others can call up a mobile app to locate available rides and retrieve the password necessary to unlock them. Once done pedaling they can just lock the thing up again and it’s immediately added to the queue of available human-powered chariots. This version is currently being tested and, while we’re still waiting for a formal release date, we’re also hoping the devices get a dose of miniaturization before then — they currently look more like briefcases than bike locks.
