Here’s the problem with releasing a concept: more often than not, people expect you to build it. So when a source tells you that a showcar doesn’t have a shot at production, many assume it’s been killed. Unless, that is, it was never going to come to market in the first place.
Earlier today, “Tony Montana” rapper Future sat down with The Source to discuss the mini-movie for his hit single. The video was crazy, but one thing was noticeably missing…Drake. The Young Money star had hopped on the track over the summer just because he thought it was hot…a favor to Future in itself. Apparently Drake was supposed to appear in the video for the track, but flaked when it came down to shooting. He ended up getting paid for the verse in the meantime of Future trying to getting him in the vid (100 stacks too!), but Drake still danced around appearing, according to Future. After the interview of his explanation hit the net today, Drizzy tweeted the above tweet. Hmm…coincidence or shots fired?
