Boston Red Sox pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka donated $1 million to help victims of the earthquake and tsunami in his Japanese homeland, the team announced Friday.
“Our efforts on the field are dedicated to all who are suffering from this catastrophe,” Matsuzaka said in a videotaped message released by the Red Sox earlier this month. “We are in this together, so we must overcome tragedy together.” Read more…

Troubled Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Johnny Jolly has been arrested on another drug charge in Houston.
Houston police spokesman Victor Senties said Jolly was pulled over about 12:45 a.m. Friday. Senties said officers discovered a bottle containing 600 grams of codeine under the passenger’s seat and another bottle with an unidentified substance in the driver’s side door. Read more…
This is such a sad, upsetting story. Celebrity Chef Ina Garten, who has her own show on the Food Network, turned down the chance to make a child’s wish come true. A little boy named Enzo who was diagnosed three years ago with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia said his wish was to cook with Ina because he watches her show with his mother while resting in bed. Make A Wish asked Ina to make his wish come true last year and she said she was too busy so they went back to her this year and she said no again!! This is not a good look for her at all! Luckily Make A Wish is fullfiling his second wish that is totally cooler anyway!! Hit the jump to see what it is.

Songs for Japan, a 38 track album, can be purchased on iTunes until next month when it will be available for actual purchase. The proceeds will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
