Mazda and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have succumbed to a bit of arachnophobia. The Japanese automaker has issued a recall for 52,000 Mazda6 sedans due to potential obstruction in the vehicles’ evaporative systems. Apparently, the evaporative canister vent line of certain 2009 and 2010 Mazda6 models is the perfect home for a species of spider. If the web clogs the line, excessive negative pressure may build up in the vehicle’s fuel tank, which is likely to eventually cause a crack in the tank itself.

The F10 BMW M5 is nigh upon us, and to make sure we’re excited, BMW has released a tantalizingly short and non-descript video of the M car in action. As with most BMW M teaser videos, there’s not much to see, other than some headlights at high-speed, so the vocals are probably the most important thing.
