Kendrick Lamar’s TPAB Shot Back Into The Top 20 On Billboard Because Of The Grammys

Not many new projects were released last week, so this week’s Billboard 200 chart doesn’t see much of a change. Adele is back at number one following Future‘s brief reign, as he falls to number ten in his second week with EVOL. Meanwhile, Rihanna is holding tight at number 3 with ANTI. Elsewhere on the chart, Kendrick Lamar sees a huge surge in sales of To Pimp A Butterfly, thanks to his stellar performance at the Grammys last Monday night. The album comes in at number 16, moving 33k units for the week. Check out this week’s full top 10 below!

“Hotline Bling” Was Left Out Of The Grammy Nominations Because Of A Cash Money Error

Drake is nominated for a few Grammys for the upcoming show, but none are for his smash single, “Hotline Bling.” He’s actually instead nominated for his Meek Mill diss “Back To Back,” and word on the street is he’s not too happy about it. And who would be? It was a silly beef that’s mostly over now, and instead of being praised for a single you’re actually pushing and want to be behind, you’re nominated for something you did haphazardly. According to reports, the blame can actually be placed on Cash Money. At first, it was thought that perhaps “Hotline Bling” missed the Grammys‘ September 30th, 2015 deadline, but if you’ll recall, the song was actually released over the summer. HDD instead reveals that CMR merely forgot to submit the record to the committee, and that’s the soul reason it wasn’t in the batch.
