We all know in sports today, there are some contracts that are paying players enormous amounts of money. But how often have you heard of one player making more than an entire team? Well A-Rod knows just how that feels. As the regular season is about to get underway, Rodriguez is scheduled to make $29 million this year! Let that sink in for a minute, I’ll wait……………………..did it sink in yet? $29 million and he might be lucky if he returns in time to play half the season with his injury. In the mean time, the Houston Astros entire payroll for this season is only $25 million. Now baseball teams have roughly 25 guys on the roster at any point. So A-Rod by himself is going to make more than 25 dudes put together..crazy! I mean he does generate alot of revenue for the Yankees, but damn! Celine Dion has put up her private island estate up for sale and if you have $29 million, you can get a whole lot with it! High ceilings, marble floors, stone terraces and balconies, a wood-paneled games room and library, formal dining room that seats 18, a stone-vaulted wine cellar with tasting room, a customized elevator, his-and-her master bedroom suites, each equipped with its own bathroom, huge walk-in closet, balcony and views of the water are just some of the features. The buying price includes most contents of the home, including “all the furniture (most antiques); artwork; decorative accessories; Persian rugs; linens; china; glassware; flatware and more.” It looks a bit old fashioned for my taste.
