(Photo+Video) Rest In Peace: A$AP Mob & Friends Shut Down Terminal 5 For Yams Day

Last night, the original A$AP Mob members Rocky, Ferg, Twelvvy, Nast, Illz and more hit the stage at Terminal 5 in NYC along with an incredible line-up of stars to help remember the life of their brother Steven Rodriguez better known as A$AP Yams. Yams, who was the founder of the A$AP Mob, was celebrated by many different groups last night including Pro-Era, Flatbush Zombies, Tan Boyz plus more as well as some of his personal favorites such as Danny Brown, Action Bronson and Lil Uzi Vert. The night went on with nothing but hits as even new faces like Atlanta’s MadeinTyo rocked the crowd with his hit “I Want (Skrr Skrr).”

One A$AP Mob Member Might Not Be In Attendance Tonight At The Yams Tribute Show

Today marks one year since A$AP Yams’ passing, and his life will be celebrated with a concert tonight, featuring all of his A$AP Mob brothers, Joey Bada$$, Lil Uzi Vert and more. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear as though all of the members of the Mob will be in attendance. “might not even attend yams day y’all see it as fun sht not fun to me sht gonna hurt,” A$AP Twelvyy tweeted just moments ago. “SEE YOU NEXT TIME IM IN VEGAS STEVE I LOVE YOU HAPPY YAMS DAY [prayer hands].” He then went on to call out the people who only hit him up when they need a ticket.

A$AP Yams Tribute Concert ‘Yams Day’ Announced With A$AP Rocky, Joey Bada$$ and More

January 18 marks one year since we lost the A$AP Mob’s visionary, A$AP Yams. In his memory that day, Rocky and the crew will be kicking off the inaugural A$AP Yams tribute concert, Yams Day. Going down at Terminal 5 in Yams’ hometown of NYC, the show will include performances from the entire Mob (Rocky included,) as well as Joey Bada$$, Lil Uzi and more to be announced. I truly hope at least some of the members of Dipset will be in attendance, seeing as though Yams got his start with them as in intern, and he always named them as some of his biggest influences. Tickets will be $45, and go on sale tomorrow, December 18. Check out the full event flyer in the gallery. We miss you, Yams!
