Jay-Z & Bey look blissfully in love on their 5th anniversary–and beautiful Havana looked like a fantastic choice for them. But they’re getting flack about going to the country that is technically off-limits to American tourists by law, and a Cuban activist is calling their trip “insensitive” as they didn’t address abuse against women and suppression of freedom by the Cuban government. Malcolm X’s Grandson Arrested By The FBI !?!?
Malcolm X, historical figure of the “by any means necessary” slogan has placed more than an impression on his grandchild, Malcolm Shabazz. Malcolm a Muslim activist was on his way to Tehran, Iran before FBI officials arrested him. It’s said that he was checking into Iran to go to the third annual Hollywoodism International Conference. The HIC is a group of filmmakers, activists and scholars from around the world that discuss issues facing world cinema and it being used as a vehicle for nationalistic propaganda. Sounds like a Malcolm X. Coincidence that a day and some change after Lifetime premiere’s “Betty & Coretta” that this happens? I think NOT.
