(Audio) NFL: Adrian Peterson Produces Recorded Conversation Where NFL Exec Promised Him 2-Game Suspension

Adrian Peterson’s appeal on his NFL suspension was denied but he believes he has the proof needed to get it overturned.  Peterson produced audio of NFL executive Troy Vincent seemingly promising the Vikings star quarterback that he would only sit for two games.

All-pro running back Adrian Peterson has not kept quiet about how he feels the NFL is handling his case.  Peterson says the league is using him to make an example and are making up new disciplinary rules as they go along.  Peterson’s appeal was denied and his suspension was upheld for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.  Running back Ray Rice on the other hand won his appeal and has been reinstated back into the NFL.  Peterson is accused of child abuse, pictures were shown of the welts left on his four-year old son after a beating.  Rice was accused of domestic violence after a video was shown of him knocking out his now wife, Janay Palmer.  Comparing the two cases, Peterson is wondering how did Ray Rice get reinstated before him.

Adrian Peterson lost his appeal and his suspension until at least April 2015 was upheld by arbitrator Harold Henderson on Friday.  He hasn’t exhausted all his options yet but he’s so disappointed in the NFL’s disciplinary process that Adrian Peterson considering retirement from the NFL and entering a whole new sports field.


NFL: Adrian Peterson Loses His Appeal For Indefinite Suspension, Must Wait Till Next year

Adrian Peterson had his appeal for his indefinite suspension and to get back on the field this season denied just a short time ago by the independent arbitrator that was listening to both sides. In upholding the NFL’s initial ruling that Peterson violated the league’s personal conduct policy with his child abuse charges, Harold Henderson concluded that Peterson “has not demonstrated that the process and procedures surrounding his discipline were not fair and consistent.” Wrote Henderson: “He was afforded all the protections and rights to which he is entitled, and I find no basis to vacate or reduce the discipline.” Peterson is now expected to appeal one more time at the federal level. With today’s ruling, he would have to wait until at least April 15th, 2015 to be reinstated.


NFL: Adrian Peterson’s Suspension Could Extend Into 2015

Adrian Peterson is still fighting to be reinstated into the league.  It looks bleak that he will play this season but even next season is in jeopardy as well.

Not that the NFL or anyone involved in the appeal hearing for Adrian Peterson is going to give a crap, but a well known, well liked rapper is showing AP some love while he goes through this. Lil Boosie linked up with AP in Texas after Peterson returned home from New York where the meetings were going on. Boosie love sports and says Peterson “still sees greatness” in him and doesn’t hold anything against him for the way he disciplined his child. Having Boosie on his side won’t help him any in the courtroom but it’s cool to see some big names still showing love for him and not hiding cause some heat is on him. Hit the jump.
