Nick Cannon announced his departure from America’s Got Talent earlier this week, following controversy over a joke he’d made about the show’s network, NBC, being racist. In his statement, Nick alleged that he was leaving before he was inevitably fired, something he said the network had plans to do. However, NBC “sources” responded saying they were blindsided by the announcement, and had no plans in ending their 8-year relationship with him. They added that there will likely be some legal ramifications if he walks away.

Nick Cannon pranked the judges on America’s Got Talent soooooooo good last night that he even had me going as I watched from my house in suspense. “Larry The Mime” was introduced on the show as a new contestant trying to fight for his spot to make it to the next round of the competition. As the audience began to “boo” him during his act and the judges broke the news that he wouldn’t be advancing to the next round, he ran up to the judges looking like he was about to get physical. After it got REAL, we realized it was just Nick pranking the AGT crew! Classic move. He had us all going! Watch it for yourself below. Absolutely hilarious! Good one, Nick!
