Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 3/1/15 … Congrats To Big Sean On His FIRST #1!

It took 3 tries, but Big Sean has finally achieved a number one album, thanks to Dark Sky Paradise moving 173k in its first week. Both of Sean’s previous albums, 2011’s Finally Famous and 2013’s Hall of Fame, debuted at number 3, moving 87k and 72k respectively. As for Chris Brown and Tyga with Fan Of A Fan, they debuted at number 7 with 67k sold, which honestly is a pretty great number… However, the fact that Drake‘s third week of If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late has him 3 spots higher than them at number 4 with 99k probably stings a bit for Breezy. Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 2/22/15 … Drake Remains In The Top 3

Though he’s been knocked out of the top spot by Imagine Dragons’ new album Smoke + Mirrors, Drake is still sitting comfortably in the top 3 for the second week with his mixtape, If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late. After debuting at number 1 with only 4 days worth of sales, the project comes in at number 2 this week with another 187k sold. He’s been certified gold and it hasn’t even been two weeks! Crazy! Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 2/1/15 … Congrats To Ne-Yo On A Top 5 Debut!

Congrats are in order for the homie Ne-Yo! His new album Non-Fiction debuted at number 5 this week, selling 59k units (SPS) since its release last Tuesday. The singer is 6 for 6 with top 10 debuts now, starting off at number 1 in 2006 with In My Own Words, 2007’s Because of You at number 1, 2008’s Year of the Gentleman at number 2, 2010’s Libra Scale at number 9 and R.E.D. at number 4 in 2012. Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 1/25/15 … Congrats To Joey Bada$$ On A Top 5 Debut!

Fall Out Boy earn their third number 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart this week, as American Beauty/American Psycho arrives on top with 218,000 equivalent album units sold. The rock group will be hitting the road with Wiz Khalifa for the Boys of Zummer tour this summer, and you can get more info here. Also debuting high this week is Brooklyn native Joey Bada$$, coming in at number 5 with his debut album, B4.Da.$$! 58k is huge for an artist with relatively no radio play, and it also gives him the number ONE spot on both Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Rap Albums. Congrats! Not faring as well was rapper Lupe Fiasco, though, whose new album Tetsuo & Youth comes in at number 14 on the Billboard 200 with equivalent sales of 42k. Get the full top 10 below!


Find Out How Much Joey Bada$$ & Lupe Fiasco Are Expected To Sell In Their First Week

Both Joey Bada$$ and Lupe Fiasco dropped new albums this past Tuesday, B4.Da.$$ and Tetsuo & Youth, respectively. The first week sales projections are available, and it’s looking like it’s going to be a good week for the both of them! Hits Daily Double reports that Joey’s debut is on pace to sell between 50,000 and 55,000 physical units, and with streaming and single song sales in the equation, it should bring that number up to around 60k! This will most certainly secure the Pro Era rapper a spot in the top 10 on the Billboard 200, likely even the top 5! As for Lupe Fiasco, his fifth album is projected to sell between 30,000 and 35,000 physical units, 40k with SPS.


Check Out How Nicki Minaj & J. Cole Did On The Charts This Week…And Where Rae Sremmurd Is Expected To Debut!

Nicki Minaj’s The Pinkprint has entered its third week in stores, while J. Cole and 2014 Forest Hills Drive are on their fourth, and both are still doing very well on the Billboard charts! Nicki did another solid 84k (51k physical/31k streaming/singles) this week, holding down her number 2 spot, just behind the reigning champ, Taylor Swift. This now puts the HB at 484k! At the rate she’s going, it’s looking like a gold plaque will be awarded to her by next week! As for Jermaine, 2014 Forest Hills Drive slips 6-7 on the Billboard 200 with 59k sold, 47k of which were physical copies. Next week we’ll be seeing the premiere of Rae Sremmurd’s debut SremmLife on the charts, and Billboard reports that the duo may sell upwards of 45k to 50k, making for the only debut in the top 10 that week.
