3000, who has not provided a verse to a hip-hop track in months and is currently dealing with the loss of his mother, got on Ryan Merchant’s and Sebu Simonian’s (aka Capital Cities) track “Farrah Fawcett Hair” that is narrated by NPR’s Freelance Funding Credits Announcer, Frank Tavares. It will be on In a Tidal Wave of Mystery, which drops June 4th. For those not into music by alt-dance groups, the OutKast member’s verse begins at 1:39. Listen below.
More Bad News For Outkast! Guess What Happened To Big Boi!
There must be some bad vibes floating around Stankonia, because it’s been anything but a good week for both Andre 3000 and Big Boi. As reported earlier, 3 Stacks sadly lost his mother on Monday…his BIRTHDAY, no less. Now Big Boi has some bad news of his own, having torn his patella (aka his kneecap) on tour yesterday, requiring surgery and a postponement of all shows until September. Sheesh! Our well wishes are with both Dre and Big Boi!
Our Condolences Goes Out To Andre 3000 For Losing His Mother, Sharon Benjamin-Hodo
I couldn’t imagine going through something like this. Our deepest sympathies goes out to Andre 3000 as he mourns the death of his mother, Sharon Benjamin-Hodo. The founder of, The Starlight Camp for underprivileged children, which she ran out of the New Morning Light Missionary Baptist Church in Conley, GA was allegedly found dead in her Atlanta home on Andre’s birthday (May 27). NEW MUSIC: Andre 3000 & Beyonce – “Back To Black” [Full Track]
After being teased with just a snippet of their much talked about collaboration, we finally have the full version of Andre 3000 & Beyonce’s “Back To Black.” The track, which is a cover of Amy Winehouse’s hit, will appear on the soundtrack for The Great Gatsby due in stores on May 7. For now we only have a radio rip from DJ/producer Mark Ronson, who co-wrote the original song. Listen to the collab below.
