Vybz Kartel Granted Leave To Appeal His Murder Conviction & Life Sentence

In 2015, popular dancehall artist Vybz Kartel was sentenced to life for his involvement in a murder the year prior. He is eligible for parole in 35 years, but he’d like another shot at life, and has just been granted leave to appeal the conviction and sentence, along with three other men who were involved as well.

Court Throws Out Kesha’s Appeal To Be Released From Sony

The courts have thrown out Kesha’s appeal to be released from Sony. The judge clearly sided with Sony and Dr.Luke.

So lets refresh our memory a little bit. Tasha Smith and Keith Douglas got married back in 2010. Smith then found out that the man she had been madly in love with was living a secret life. Douglas was still married to a previous “ex” and had many children that Smith knew nothing about.

Jared Fogle Looking For An Appeal Extension But Faces A Bump In The Road

Oh, poor poor baby; NOT! Jared Fogle is asking the courts from some leniency. The 38-year-old is hoping to get an appeal extension since his attorney is battling prostate cancer. Find out more down bottom.

(Photo) NFL: It Ain’t Over Yet… Roger Goodell Says NFL Will Appeal in DeflateGate Case

I don’t know about you but I’m sick and tired of hearing about deflated footballs.  Apparently neither side is willing to throw in the towel.  Today it was announced that Tom Brady won his appeal and the judge nullified the four-game suspension levied against him for his alleged participation in deflating footballs before New England’s 45-7 victory over Indianapolis in last season’s AFC Championship Game.  Well Goodell isn’t ready to concede defeat yet and now HE will appeal.

NFL: Roger Goodell Announces He Personally Will Hear Tom Brady’s Appeal Of His Suspension

This clearly is not a good thing for Brady, the Patriots or the NFLPA. Yesterday Tom Brady officially filed his appeal of the four game suspension he is facing for his alleged role in “deflate gate”. The Players Association had asked for an independent person to hear the appeal, but because of the power Goodell has, he declined and instead appointed himself as the person to hear the appeal, which obviously is a clear conflict of interest.

NFL: Adrian Peterson Loses His Appeal For Indefinite Suspension, Must Wait Till Next year

Adrian Peterson had his appeal for his indefinite suspension and to get back on the field this season denied just a short time ago by the independent arbitrator that was listening to both sides. In upholding the NFL’s initial ruling that Peterson violated the league’s personal conduct policy with his child abuse charges, Harold Henderson concluded that Peterson “has not demonstrated that the process and procedures surrounding his discipline were not fair and consistent.” Wrote Henderson: “He was afforded all the protections and rights to which he is entitled, and I find no basis to vacate or reduce the discipline.” Peterson is now expected to appeal one more time at the federal level. With today’s ruling, he would have to wait until at least April 15th, 2015 to be reinstated.

(Photo) NFL: Lil Boosie Is Giving Adrian Peterson His Full Support!

Not that the NFL or anyone involved in the appeal hearing for Adrian Peterson is going to give a crap, but a well known, well liked rapper is showing AP some love while he goes through this. Lil Boosie linked up with AP in Texas after Peterson returned home from New York where the meetings were going on. Boosie love sports and says Peterson “still sees greatness” in him and doesn’t hold anything against him for the way he disciplined his child. Having Boosie on his side won’t help him any in the courtroom but it’s cool to see some big names still showing love for him and not hiding cause some heat is on him. Hit the jump.

NFL: Report, Adrian Peterson Will Be Reinstated By Next Week, Could Play This Season

Adrian Peterson’s appeal for his suspension from the NFL until next year is scheduled to conclude today and there are reports that Peterson is likely to win his appeal and would be reinstated early next week. That would then allow him to play this season as long as the Vikings wanted him to play. The Vikings could choose to just not play him since it will only be a few weeks left in the season by that point and the Vikings are going nowhere fast. The Fact that AP is looking like he might win the appeal is big news however because it will be another black mark on Roger Goodell’s term as commissioner when it comes to player punishment.

NFL: Report, Multiple Teams Would Accept Ray Rice Into Their Locker Room

Ray Rice won his appeal yesterday and was immediately cleared to sign with any NFL team he wants. My personal belief is that there is no way any team will sign him this season with all the media attention it will bring. If teams wait till the offseason and let the story die down somewhat, odds are the outcome will turn out better. However there are multiple teams and players already saying he would be welcome to their organization.
