Auto Talk: Dodge Challenger SRT Yellow Jacket and Charger SRT8 Super Bee debuting in LA

Chrysler is taking a page from the insect world with its latest set of high-performance machinery. Just as the bright yellow and black motif of a bumble bee is meant to warn potential predators that they might get stung if they come too close, the new 2012 Charger SRT8 Super Bee and Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket feature Stinger Yellow and Pitch Black paint schemes to signal their ill intent. Auto Talk: HBH reveals final design for mid-engined Aston Martin Bulldog GT

Aston Martins often prove capable of tangling with the likes of Ferraris and Lamborghinis. But one thing that sets them apart is that, while their Italian counterparts often place their engines amidship, Astons are always front-engined. Right? Funk Flex

Cars don’t get much faster than the Bugatti Veyron and Koenigsegg CCXR. You want to go any faster, you’ll need a top-fuel dragster or a Bonneville land speed record machine. That’s why the two have been at each other’s throats for as long as they’ve been around. Funk Flex

Auto Talk: NHTSA report reveals most stolen vehicles, theft rate declining

According to Automotive News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a new report on vehicle theft rates in 2009, and as it turns out, the Audi S8, Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and BMW M5 had the highest theft rates of the year. The report specifically focuses on passenger cars and excludes vehicles like pickup trucks and SUVs. Technically, only two S8 sedans were reported stolen in 2009, but since Audi only produced 227 units that year and the report uses a number of thefts per vehicles produced ratio, the high performance luxury sedan took the crown. The flip side of that coin, however, is that high-volume models like the Toyota Camry, which have a higher number of thefts, aren’t as clearly represented in the results. Funk Flex
