(Video) Rosenberg Kicks The Realness On Ebro & Bloggers; Rap Radar’s B. Dot Responds

Let me catch you up to speed if you’re not already. Late last week, blogger/writer B. Dot (who we’ve featured on Social Media Mondays) took to his Twitter to vent frustrations about New York radio. He feels they’re not showing enough underground/unsigned love. Hot 97 head honcho (aka PD) Ebro Darden responded with a debate on the topic. The next morning, he took to Hot 97 morning show airwaves with Rosenberg, Cipha Sounds and Kay Foxx and discussed it further. He feels that the underground guys need to earn their stripes before they’re featured, and also notes that Rosenberg has a Sunday night show dedicated totally to unsigned music. Once B. Dot saw that, he replied with a post. This morning, Rosenberg kicked the realness on the topic. Watch what he said, and see B. Dot’s reply below. Where do you fall on this topic? Marisa Mendez

RapRadar’s B.Dot Picks 10 Songs He Feels Are Being Overlooked; Talks To Flex On Hot 97

Over the weekend, RapRadar blogger/writer Brian “B.Dot” Miller voiced his opinion on the current radio war going on in NYC. He said that instead of me focusing on the other station, I should be concentrating that energy on breaking artists that are overlooked. I told him to get me a list, and we’ll get those artists on the air and see what happens. After the jump, check out the songs he’s picked and hear his call with Flex to see which track he picked for the air! Funk Flex

Rap Radar’s B.Dot Calls Out Funk Flex: Less Radio Beef, How About Breaking An Artist?!

As you all know by now, NYC radio DJ Funkmaster Flex has been in an all-out radio war with Hot 97’s rival NYC hip-hop station, often dedicating a majority of his on-air talk breaks to airing out various personalities. “I’m just bored, New York!!!” Flex often exclaims before he starts another tear-down. B. Dot of RapRadar.com decided to offer up his opinion of the radio beef earlier today via Twitter and clearly, he’s over it. “This @funkmasterflex vs. Power 105.1 thing has 2 stop,” he tweeted to over 10k followers. “Imagine if Flex used this much energy 2 break a new artist. He has the power to do so.” This got Flex’s gears turning, and soon the pair were exchanging words and ideas, and this could end up being something amazing for artists and for radio! Could this be the end of the war and the intro to a major turning point in some peoples’ career? Check out their exchange below, and be sure to tune in on Monday night on Hot 97 and Hot97.com to see what comes of this! Marisa Mendez
