We have all of this Meek Mill/Drake/Nicki Minaj/SB stuff going on, the Birdman/Lil Wayne/Young Thug stuff…just drama left and right, and now we might have yet another beef! (I’m all for this kind of stuff if it pushes these artists to write some dope sh*t!) On Vic Mensa’s new “Heir To The Throne” freestyle, it would appear that he’s throwing a few subliminal shots toward Travi$ Scott’s way, particularly due to his use of Trav’s popular “straight up” ad-lib.
Lil Wayne has long recounted a story of “accidentally” shooting himself when he was 12, playing with a 9 mm handgun. Thankfully, an off-duty cop was around to help young Tune, and he survived to become the rap star he is today. Apparently, that wasn’t the whole story, though! On “London Roads”, a song from his newly-released Free Weezy Album, Wayne revealed that the shooting was no accident.

Meek Mill released his sophomore album Dreams Worth More Than Money on Sunday night after many delays and much anticipation. Features include Swizz Beatz, Future, Diddy, his girlfriend Nicki Minaj, Drake and more, but it’s song with The Weeknd that really has tongues wagging!
Tyga just dropped the FKi-produced “Pleazer” with Boosie Badazz, set to live on T-Raww’s oft-delayed forthcoming album, The Gold Album. Though the song is a banger, (and a bit of nostalgia as it references Too $hort’s 80s hit “Freaky Tales,”) the rapper is definitely making us raise our eyebrows with some of the lyrics.
Okay, I went up to bat for this guy after the first rapeish kind of song leaked, but I can’t defend him after the same thing happened for a second time. C’mon, Rich Homie Quan! Last month, an old song of Quan’s made its way to the web, causing controversy because of the following lyrics:
“Don’t want your ho, just want that cookie from her/ She tried to resist so I took it from her/ How you gonna tell me no/ You must not know who I am/”
Quan later issued an apology, explaining that the song was unfinished and never intended to be released and that he would never condone rape, adding that his lawyer was working on its removal from the web. Unfortunately, less than a month later, he’s in the same exact situation.
