Behind The Lyrics: A$AP Rocky Comes For Rita Ora’s NECK On “Better Things”

Last night, A$AP Rocky released his sophomore album At.Long.Last.A$AP. as a surprise a week before its scheduled release date. Though I’m ALL the way here for this Lil Wayne collaboration “M’$”, it’s “Better Things” that has everyone’s tongues wagging! “I swear that b*tch Rita Ora got a big mouth,” Rocky raps on the track. “Next time I see her might curse the b*tch out/Kicked the b*tch out once cause she b*tched out/Spit my kids out, jizzed up all in her mouth and made the b*tch bounce.” Oh my! I wonder what happened behind-the-scenes to make the normally docile Harlem rapper go off like this! So far, no word from Rita. A.L.L.A. is available on iTunes now.

Rich Homie Quan Under Fire For Leaked Track Alluding To Rape

Before I get into this article, I just want to say that I was listening to Eminem’s first album the other day, and thinking how much more outrage it would spark now then back in the late 90’s. Now I know he had his fair share of protestors and media outrage, but my goodness, people can’t even sneeze anymore without offending someone. Now on to this new controversy… On a recently-leaked track (meaning he didn’t intend for it to be released) named “I Made It,” Rich Homie Quan is accused of glorifying rape. Here are the lyrics in question:

“Don’t want your ho, just want that cookie from her/ She tried to resist so I took it from her/ How you gonna tell me no/ You must not know who I am/”

Behind The Lyrics: Wiz Khalifa Misses Amber Rose On “Somebody Else”

Just one day after Amber Rose stepped out with Machine Gun Kelly on her arm, Rico Love released the remix to his song “Somebody Else” with Usher and Wiz Khalifa – and unlike his verse on Juicy J‘s “For Everybody,” Wiz had nothing but nice things to say about his ex. (No word on whether that’s changed now that she’s now dating his boy.) “Thought I had it, all the magic/I couldn’t imagine it, then it all went tragic,” Wiz raps. “Automatically I’m the bad one/I was only doing us, gave you everything/A kid, a house and a wedding ring/And now you talk about you can do better things.” He goes on to reminisce on what they had and seemingly wish they would have lasted despite the drama, then closes out the verse with, “Cause being alone ain’t what you wanna be/And me with a girl ain’t what you wanna see/And truthfully it ain’t you, it’s me.”

Behind The Lyrics: Mariah Carey Comes For Nick Cannon’s Neck On “Infinity”

Mariah Carey is gearing up for a new album, and she’s doing so without the help of Nick Cannon, her now-ex. She apparently wants him to know she doesn’t need him for ish, though, as the first single released from the project definitely appears to have some shots fired his way! “Talkin’ ’bout you’re mad/Could it be that you just lost the best you’ve ever had,” is one such line on “Infinity,” while ,”Boy you actin’ so corny like Fritos/Wouldn’t have none of that without me, though” is another gem. Oh, and let’s not leave out:

Is it lack of ice got you so cold? Have you ever felt this on your own? Why you tryin’ to play like you’re so grown? Everything you own boy you still owe

Of course Mariah is going to go on record and say they’re not shots toward the father of her children, but as they say…”you know how that sh*t go.”

Behind The Lyrics: Wiz Khalifa Comes For Amber’s Neck On “For Everybody”

Last night, Juicy J dropped his Wiz Khalifa-assisted single “For Everybody,” and boy did Wiz have some choice words for his ex Amber Rose on the track! And to drive the point home, they included a photo of themselves at his wedding to Amber as the song’s artwork.

Behind The Lyrics: Lil Wayne Comes For Birdman & Cash Money On ‘Sorry For The Wait 2’ Mixtape

With the cover standing as a testament toward the shackles Tha Carter V is under, Lil Wayne makes it loud and clear on Sorry For The Wait 2 that Birdman and Cash Money are the last things he wants in his life right now. Multiple tracks on the 17-song mixtape are riddled with lines taking aim at his former CEO and estranged label, including his remix of “Coco,” his remix of “You Guessed It” and the previously-released “Sh!t” remix. “I couldn’t be Jr. forever, I don’t mean to ruffle your feathers,” he rapped on one song. “But I had to spread my wings – ain’t tryna get lemon peppered!”
