This season in television is one that is on fire. For me, I can’t seem to draw the line between keeping my eyes on work or the boob tube. Late night, the latter usually wins, especially on Tuesday nights; Being Mary Jane, starring Gabrielle Union, comes on. As if the universal topics aren’t good enough to pull you in, as a woman, it gets deeper when MJ drags another bulky man into her life. Her latest, Brandon “Cutty Buddy” Gibson, real name, Thomas Q. Jones. As MJ’s transition from a bruised-emotionally and physically-up hospital patient moves on to the news anchor lady that we all know and love, she still needs to be touched every now-and-again; enter Mr. Cutty Buddy. While most of us would love for Mr. Cutty Buddy to be so much more, he’s thinking that it’s a bad idea. Find out more after the jump.

Okay, I’m jumping off of the walls now. Just knowing that not only will The Walking Dead be coming back in February, but the Mara Brock Akil created television show, Being Mary Jane is on the way as well. Mary Jane Paul is signing back on. Mara Brock Akil, creator of Being Mary Jane has dropped a hit series. The weekly television show that aired its finale this past Monday, began as a mini movie, but pulled in many viewers. With numbers in the three million range, it’s no wonder BET decided to bring the show back for a season 2! No news as to when the next season will begin, but believe you me, my ears are to the streets. Be on the lookout.

If you were tuned into BET’s hit television show, Being Mary Jane last evening, you’re still attempting to pick your jaw up from the ground. While we found insight in Mary Jane Paul’s attempt to build up her niece Kara’s self-esteem, her standing her ground in Terrance’s suicide and what being a ride-or-die chick is, there are still things that had us saying, ‘*itch, are you silly stupid or all of the above!’ MJ stalks Andre, only to get caught by the wife and attempts to school the girl on how to perform oral pleasures, cursed out a friend for snitching about stealing sperm when she didn’t even snitch, and taking a few sips of tequila with the one who DID, and the kicker…wanting to be inseminated with above mentioned sperm that wouldn’t get her pregnant any way. Next season, I’m going to need Akil to put MJ in therapy. I don’t want to spoil the entire thing, so you can always check out the jump and watch the full 2hr episodes.
